How we choose which providers to list
The criteria every provider on Arrivon must meet, and why some listings earn us nothing at all.
Arrivon curates and refers only. We do not issue insurance, banking or connectivity products ourselves, and we are not a broker. Every provider we list has to clear the same bar, and commission is not part of it.
The five criteria
A provider earns a listing if it does all five of these. If it fails one, it does not appear, regardless of what it pays.
Why some listings earn us nothing
Several providers on our pages carry no commercial relationship at all. Where a region would not be credible without naming a particular institution, we name it anyway.
The clearest example is Canada. The Guaranteed Investment Certificate is the proof-of-funds document for the Student Direct Stream, and only designated financial institutions can issue one. A Canada listing that omitted Scotiabank, CIBC and RBC would be incomplete to the point of being misleading, so they are listed even though there is no referral programme behind them.
The same applies to the Australian banks that open accounts twelve months before arrival, and to the letter-capable banks in the UK and US. These are anchor listings. They exist because the page would be worse without them.
How we handle affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through one. This never costs you more than going direct.
Commission does not determine what we list or the order it appears in. Cards are ordered by whether they are a featured international provider and then by price, not by what they pay. Affiliate links carry a rel=sponsored attribute so search engines can see the relationship, and every page carries a disclosure.
